The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red warning of Gujarat, predicting heavy or extremely heavy rainfall in several regions up to 7 September 2025. Several states are expected to receive significant precipitation, Delhi and the region of the National City) are likely to witness the persistent exhibitors and storms.

IMD Nowcast Warning for Delhi and NCR

- In the next three hours, severe to very strong precipitation in Faridabad, Gurogram, Jhajar, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat are expected.
Flood situation in Delhi
- The Yamuna River broke the danger recorded at 207.46 meters between 11:00 and 12:00 on Thursday.
- Water levels are expected to gradually retreat.
- Flood waters flooded nearby areas, including the secretariat near Delhi.
- Heavy water contamination was reported in parts of Kašmere Gate, Civil Lines and Mayur Vihar Phase-1.
