
In the middle of heavy rains in several parts of the country on Tuesday, the meteorological department (IMD) issued a lightning flood alert on the parts of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh for the next 24 hours.
In a post on the Social Media Platform X IMD said: “In the next 24 hours, a slight to high risk of lightning basins on the parts of Uttarakhand, J&K, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh are expected.”

UTTARAKHAND: Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Dehradun, Pauri, Pitchforagarh, RudraPrayag, Tehri, Uttarkashi
