The former India captain, who recently led Pretoria Capitals to second place in the SA20 League, said he would like to remain involved in various roles.

When I was playing cricket, I was batting, batting and also captaining the national team. But whatever I am doing now is in different phases. I just want to be involved in cricket, I also coached Pretoria Capitals in the South African League where we reached the final and I am also interested in that (coaching),” he said at an event quoted in Noida.He added, “I have also been the president of BCCI and CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) and I have become the president of CAB again. I have achieved everything in life and whatever opportunities I get I will explore them.”On the game itself, Ganguly endorsed Test cricket as the toughest and most important format, while he described T20 as the least demanding, even though it draws crowds.Ganguly also weighed in on the IPL Impact Player rule and said he was unlikely to leave despite the criticism. “The impact player rule I think it’s here to stay… this is here to stay, some will like it, some won’t,” he said.Talking about the growth of the IPL, especially the massive Rajasthan Royals deal, he called the numbers “stunning” and added, “IPL will only go to greater heights… these are staggering numbers but there is much more in store for Indian cricket.”He also highlighted young talents to watch, including Auqib Nabi, as the league continues to feature rising stars.
