During a speech to reporters on Thursday, Donald Trump indicated that the media will criticize him no matter what decision he makes about attending the ceremony.
“That’s one I can’t win on,” Trump said from behind the Resolute Desk after being asked if he planned to travel for the wedding.

“He’d love for me to go, but it’s just going to be a little private thing and I’m going to try to handle it,” Trump said.
Then he added: “If I participate, I will be killed. If I don’t participate, fake news will kill me, of course, I’m talking about it.”
Trump also mentioned the ongoing geopolitical tensions and pressures facing his administration when discussing the timing of the wedding.
“I’m in the middle — I said, ‘You know, this is not good timing for me. I’ve got something called Iran and other things,'” he said.
