Powered by Tyger Capital and supported by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department, India Khelo Football (IKF) has launched Tyger Scout on Wheels, a 45-day movement to promote football in the state.
The inaugural event was held at Andhra University and more than 160 young players participated in football trials and the IKF 360 awareness campaign. The sessions included discussions on football journeys, health and wellness for girls and financial literacy workshops for parents led by Tyger Capital, an IKF release said.
Over the next month and a half, The Scout on Wheels van will tour seven major cities and more than ten cities, conducting football tryouts, awareness clinics and community programs. From Visakhapatnam to Tirupati, the journey aims to touch thousands of players, parents and local communities – many of whom will be experiencing a structured football initiative for the first time.
“There is huge raw talent here,” said Phani Bhushan, founder of Khelo Indian Football. “We don’t follow the rankings, we follow heart, perseverance and the will to rise. Andhra Pradesh deserves to be on the map of Indian football – not as a number, but as a movement.”
Speaking about Tyger Capital’s role in this initiative, Gaurav Gupta, Founder, Managing Director and CEO of Tyger Capital said that the aim of this initiative is to provide financial freedom to communities.
“Through this campaign, our branch volunteers will work directly with parents and players to provide financial literacy, apprenticeships for youth and job opportunities for families,” said Mr Gupta, stressing that it’s not just about loans – it’s about giving families the freedom to dream.
In Rajahmundry, the Tyger IKF Scout on Wheels campaign witnessed huge participation from female participants. More than 100 players took part in the tests and participated in a 360 awareness campaign that actively involved parents, teachers and community members.
The campaign aims to engage over 5,000 parents and community members, scout 1,500 players, empower 500 girls and generate over 15 million impressions through media, digital and on-ground activations.
The van will spread awareness about the importance of staying connected to the football ecosystem and will complete its nationwide journey in Tirupati by November 30, culminating in this inspiring football and community movement.
