The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M) founded the Center for Excellence Rekhi for Happiness Science. The non -profit organization, Reki Foundation for Happiness, will strive to integrate happiness studies into the academic curriculum. The Institute signed a memorandum on the agreement on 24 March. The signatories were Satinder Singh Reki, founder of the Rekhi and Manu Santhanam, Dean (IC and SR), in the Institute. IIT-M Director V. Kamakoti said that the aim was to cultivate the ideal environment of students-fakults and strengthen the idea that real learning and holistic personal growth exceeded academic scores.
