Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote unique academic and research collaboration.
The partnership will enable students and researchers of both institutes to implement joint research projects in areas of common interest, organize joint symposia and workshops, and make available the infrastructure and laboratory facilities of both institutions.
IISc said the collaboration will also encourage exchange of students from IITGN to IISc for academic and research programmes.
“Crucially, the partnership will enable students who have completed their third year BTech at IITGN to directly join IISc for their Masters after a competitive selection process. Students who successfully complete their course requirements will be awarded BTech and MTech degrees from IITGN and IISc,” IISc said.
