The International Institute for People with Disabilities (IIPD) is a model movement that represents India to the world, said filmmaker Adoor GoPalakrishnan. In the Casaragod it inaugurates the construction of IIPD.
IIPD develops as a world center for complex development of different people in different art centers based in Thiruvananthapuram (DAC).
Writer T. Padmanabhan, Executive Director of DAC GOPINATH MUTHUKAD and District President Panchayat Baby Balakrishan were present.
The construction is carried out by the Cooperative Cooperative Society Uralungal. And others participated.
The 100 Crore project will have advanced training and therapeutic facilities, professional centers and units of assistance facilities. It will also provide shelter to children, including children affected by endosulfn. The first phase is scheduled for completion in 2026, while the whole project will be functional by 2029.
