Hilly District of IDUKKI is ready to obtain a tourism project of the inheritance.
According to officials, the project focuses on maintaining the rich heritage of the district and popularization. The project will be implemented in cooperation with the District Administration, Tourism Department and District Tourism (DTPC).
At the meeting with the participating part of the tourism on Tuesday, the District Collector V. Vigneshwari announced that the Heritage Tourism project will soon be introduced.
According to sources, the authorities will soon collect data on the main points of the inheritance in the district. “Old British churches, tombs, British bridges, tribal art forms, old property bungalows, dolmens, menhirs and other historically important places will be included in the list.
According to officials, idukki has a huge potential for hiking inheritance. Idukki is full of British buildings, religious and educational institutions. These aspects will provide a new outlook for the tourism industry in the district.
The tourism department is already preparing a tourism project for the elegant British church of St. Jiří CSI with his Gothic architecture in Pallikunn near Kuttikanam. During his visit in March, the Minister of Tourism PA Mohammad Riyas ordered the director of tourism to prepare the tourism project for the heritage for the Church.
During the interaction, Mrs Vigneshwari said that the district administration plans to use the potential of tourism of the district. She said that the district will prepare a website and organize facilities for tourists visiting the Idukki dam. ”
In the district, a standard operational procedure (SOP) will be implemented in order to issue climate -related notifications and other restrictions. The project called Idukki Plaza will be implemented in the district in order to provide basic facilities to tourists who arrive there, the collector said.
