17. International documentary and short film festival Kerala (IDSFK), organized by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, will be opened by the Palestinian film by Ground Zero.
The film, collective efforts of 22 Palestinian directors, captures scars and resistance of life in Gaza, suffer from Israeli occupation and tireless attacks. It will be screened at the Kairali Theater on August 22 at 6 pm after the inaugural ceremony of the festival.
Anthology includes documents, short films and animations that have been unspecified stories for genocide that have been taking place in Gaza since October 2023. The collection was the curator of Rashid Masharawi, which won the UNESCO Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1994.
He produced as part of the Masharawi fund, a project that provides financial assistance to Palestinian filmmakers in Gaza, from Ground Zero has been officially selected for the international film festival in Toronto 2024.
Despite the harsh film conditions, the radiant radiant art scene in Gaza with this collection and offers an intimate and powerful portrait of everyday life and the lasting spirit of his people.
Each film in anthology takes three to six minutes. In addition to depicting hardships and challenges facing the Palestinian people, these films also reflect rays of hope and resistance. The Ground Zero was the Palestinian official entry for the best international feature film at the 97th Academic Prize.
Originally scheduled for the premiere in Cannes, the film was withdrawn at the last minute for “political reasons”. In response to Rashid Masharawi, he arranged a protest screening of the film outside the festival.
