Damsely in need are fairy tales. A decent princess awaits the arrival of the “Charming Prince” to awaken her. Rewritten by Yara Nisam, who premiered in the short fiction category in Malayalam on the 17th.
An eleven -minute short film explores the confusion of the mind of a young woman, which ultimately leads her to a realization that will help from the inside. The overwritten focuses on how women, despite the agency, are limited in certain environments.
Yara examines how mothers are passed on to their daughters, who initially frustrate them. Later, when they enter adulthood, women understand their mothers better, which free them instead of waiting for the charming prince.
“We are often witnessed in modern families. There are also mothers who have an agency, but that is absent,” Yara says after the premiere.
