In Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar, a single window check-in system was introduced to obtain permission for public installation Ganesh in the district on the occasion of the Gowri-Ganesh festival this month.
The deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag said that at the Taluk level there were committees for granting permission to install idols and related events. Committees will have officials from various departments who are entitled to grant permission for installation points, pandas, electricity connection and other arrangements, she said.
While Tahsildar will lead such committees, member secretaries of the city council or the main director of the city council or the city of Panchayats. Members in each committee will be Executive Director of Taluk Panchayat, Circle Police Inspector, Auxiliary Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, Executive Engineer CESC and Fire Brigade Taluk.
The District Administration has informed the organizers who are planning to install idols Ganesh or carry out related programs to collect the prescribed applications form from the authorities or Taluk police stations and to obtain consent from the relevant committees.
