In the middle of the reports of individuals, they reportedly visited the restaurants and asked merchants about their religious identity along the Kanwar Yatra route in Muzaffarnagar, the local police issued the participating announcements that ruled by a sharp political exchange between Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). SP claimed that the distribution of the government wanted to polarize society for political gains, even though the BJP hit the accusation of the opposition of appeasement policy.
Some people allegedly associated with Swami Yashveer were seen 1 July. The incident led to complaints filed by local traders.
“We received a complaint about private persons who checked names, etc. We issued a notice of six people who apply for their answer. After receiving the answer to the announcement, the necessary step will be taken by law,” said Rupali Rao, Circle Officer, Nai Mandi, Hindu.
SP Ameeque Jamei spokesman responded sharply and said, “It is a BJP tactic to focus on people of specific identity and create a division in society. Kanwar Yatra is very sacred in our country to make sure it respects in our country.
On the other hand, the representative of the main Minister UTTAR Pradesh Brajesh Pathak criticized the SP for what he called the Appeasement policy. “SP leaders are constantly making a constant garbage statement on Kanwar Yatra. They compare the devoted Kanwar Yatra with the terrorists. It’s very condemnable,” Mr. Pathak said without indicating what specific statement he referred to.
He also stated: “SP wants to implement the Sharia law and make a reassurance policy, we are determined to organize the systematic and secure Kanwar Yatra in UP is right of each buyer who is buying things from. He is the responsibility of each seller to display his name.”
The annual Kanwar Yatra, pilgrimage made by the devoted Lord of Shiva, is scheduled this year from 11 to 23 July and last year, the Uttar Pradesh government was mandatory for food and beverage equipment along the Kanwar routes to show the name and identity of the operator or owner.
