The 91st annual meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS), Bengaluru, ended on a grand note at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) campus, here on Sunday.
The three-day event was organized by IISER Tirupati and hosted the scientific fraternity that gathered here from across the country. The Academy meeting brought together scientists, colleagues, and academics from leading institutions to facilitate the exchange of ideas through lectures, interactive discussions, and thought-provoking symposia on topics such as vaccine development, sustainability, astrophysics, artificial intelligence-driven science, climate studies, and evolutionary ecology.
IISER Tirupati also conducted parallel programs for school students in the region, exposing young minds to hands-on scientific interactions and motivational sessions aimed at inspiring future generations.
IISER Registrar Inderpreet Singh Kohli on behalf of Principal Santanu Bhattacharya thanked IAS President Raghavan Varadarajan and others for the opportunity to host such a prestigious event. “Even as the CII Investment Summit is underway in Andhra Pradesh, we have organized the most important science event in the country, which signifies a strong confluence of science, industry and innovation in the state,” Mr. Kohli said.
