As a new academic year, the State branch of the Indian Academy Paediatrics (IAP) started with a number of instructions for students, parents and teachers.
IAP officials said that parents should ensure that their children receive compulsory vaccination in time. Students showing symptoms such as fever, colds or coughing should not be sent to school. Parents should also ensure that the students are fully recovered before returning to the classes. Since the water -transmitted diseases can spread during the monsoon season, students should only be served with boiled and cooled water. In addition, parents must make sure that their children have breakfast in time and are provided home, nutritious food for lunch and refreshments.
School bags should not be too heavy, because carrying heavy bags can affect the health of the spinal cord and joints of children, which would lead to long -term problems. The weight of the school bag should not exceed 10% to 15% of the student’s body weight. Parents are advised to talk to school authorities to ensure the availability of safe drinking water on the premises. Louzy in schools should also be hygienic and clean.
Students should inquire about roadside and safety. They must only cross the roads at the Zebra crossings and should not play near the road. Students should avoid shoving their heads or hands from moving vehicles. School authorities and parents should check the fitness certificate of school vehicles. The background of the drivers of the vehicle and their assistants should be explored and it must be ensured that they are properly trained.
School authorities and parents should create awareness of abuse of addictive substances among students. If there are changes in their behavior or character, proper guidance and treatment should be ensured. Some students admitted to new schools may experience tensions or stress and should be taken steps to deal with their fears. Parents should keep the house clean and prevent water stagnation.
