Five people received a new life after the authorities of the dead patient were sent across different parts of the country, with one kidney and cornea being taken by the Indian Air Force from Bengalur to Dilli.
The Indian Air Force (IAF), in the X post, shared details about coordinated operations and Airlift photographs on Saturday 8 June 2025).
“IAF has allowed more rescue search and critical transplants to live in various places that it has been made today through Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore (KHAFB),” the post said.
The donor, the declared brain dead on Friday, became a “source of new life for five individuals,” he added.
According to IAF, one kidney and cornea were overflowed to the Army Hospital (Research & Reference) in Delhi. The second kidney and cornea, as well as the first skin harvest, were transplanted to Chafb in cooperation with the Victoria Hospital in Bengalur.
The liver has been successfully transplanted at the Gleneagles BGS hospital.
“This smooth operation was performed with Jeevansarthakathe Karnataka, which reflected an exceptional obligation and medical expertise of the medical community of the armed forces,” IAF said.
