A 35-year-old man has not appeared since February, when the swelling in his knee forced him to have a dispute over Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against India. Wood admitted that he was close to re -getting fitness, but suffered a failure that prolonged his absence. “It was 50/50, whether I was going to test in India, but I’m bowling on Lord and then, the next day, my knee grew again,” Wood revealed on a cricket podcast. “I had it exhausted, and since then it was just that things were taking easy when we look forward to the winter.” Fast, last played by a test cricket more than a year ago, is now focusing on performances in the September accessories of its region against Essex, Worcestershire and Yorkshire. “I hope I will play for Durham, because there are a few games in September, so I will try to play one or two of them,” he said. Wood stressed that the English leadership favored caution with its recovery and at the end of this year firmly maintained the Ashes series in Australia. “I was well taken care of and very careful, so that’s the way it was. I appreciate it because (England) got this final game where they want me to get to Australia,” he added.

Looking forward, Wood also talked about his preparations for a series of five matches, starting with Perty 21 November. “I said (Brendon) McCullum, I can’t just get into the net for four months, I’m going crazy. In Loughbornough he’s in the tent and is ready for Perta to Perth.” The wood has 41 goals against Australia in 11 tests at 27.48, including an unforgettable 14-bridging haul in the home series 2023. If it is fit, the central point of England will be the ashes back for the first time since 2015.
