‘I was cheated on…’: Prithvi Shaw’s fiancee Akriti Agarwal’s cryptic post goes viral | Today’s news

Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw’s fiancee Akriti Agarwal has reportedly shared a series of cryptic posts on Instagram which have gone viral on social media.

The posts, screenshots of which are widely circulated online, do not mention Shaw or anyone else by name. However, it sparked speculation among social media users, with some claiming that it was directed at the cricketer. This has not been confirmed and neither Shaw nor Agarwal have publicly commented on the speculation.

According to reports, Agarwal wrote, “I have been cheated so many times but never said a word.

In another post, she reportedly said: “Everything is true; every rumor is true. What you see about him on social media.”

The posts have reportedly since been deleted.

Despite the online uproar, Akriti Agarwal has not unfollowed Prithvi Shaw on Instagram or deleted pictures from their engagement ceremony. Neither she nor Shaw have publicly commented on the speculation.

The couple got engaged in March this year after dating for a long time. Agarwal, an actor and social media influencer, has been seen with Shaw on several occasions.

Prithvi Shaw on his comeback

Once regarded as one of India’s brightest batsmen, Shaw made his India debut at the age of 18. He played five Tests, scoring 339 runs, including a century, and five ODIs, in which he scored 189 runs. In recent years, his career has been affected by fitness concerns and erratic form. He was part of the Delhi Capitals IPL 2026 squad but did not feature in a single match.

Shaw recently reiterated his determination to return to the Indian team in an interview with Star Sports.

“If I’m not thinking about a comeback, then what’s the point? That’s why I’m playing. Who wouldn’t want to play for India? You have to be there and I’m working on it,” he said.

Reflecting on the break he took from cricket, Shaw added: “I’ve enjoyed my life in the last year. I went to a few destinations to keep my mind fresh. Then I came back. Same routine, training, working hard, whether it was my training or batting. Whatever I was doing, I started doing it 3x more. I think it was a good break for me so I didn’t need it because I needed it back, I didn’t need it to come back mentally.”
