
Mohammed Siraj was among several Indian athletes who condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam Jammu and Kashmir, which on Tuesday, April 22, was injured by 26 tourists, and on Tuesday, April 22. Eyewitnesses said that terrorists had emerged from the surrounding pine forests and fired at people on a picnic, rode ponies or food at food stalls. Most of the victims were tourists, including two foreigners from UAE and Nepal and two locals.
On Wednesday, the convicts of Great Sachin Tendulkar and Virt Kohli condemned.
“Honestly, condemning the families of victims. They pray for peace and strength to all those who lost their lives and justice to serve for their cruel act,” Virt Kohl said.
“The affected families must go through unimaginable suffering – India and the world will connect with them in this dark lesson when we mourn over the loss of lives and pray for justice,” Tendulkar said.
Mohammed Shami’s fast pitch condemned this attack and said it was time for the nation to oppose terrorism.
Former Wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami, in a heavily created post, urged India to reduce all sports relations with Pakistan.
“And that’s exactly why I’m saying – you’re not playing cricket with Pakistan. Not now. Not now. When the BCCi or the government refused to send India to Masters in Pakistan, some had the courage to say,” Oh, but sport should rise over politics, “Goswami wrote.
India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral cricket since the 2012–13 season. Both teams met at multinational tournaments, including Asia Cups and ICC World Cups and Champions Trophy.
