Delhi Capitals have won their first two matches without Mitchell Starc, but bowling coach Munaf Patel said the team wants him to join the squad soon, terming him as one of the best bowlers in the IPL.Starc is yet to receive his NOC from Cricket Australia and is also dealing with a shoulder injury.Ahead of the match against Gujarat Titans, Munaf said that he checks for updates on Starc every day.“I am asking people around every day about the timing of his arrival and when he will arrive and what are the details because he is important for us as a key bowler. Actually, I have the same question every day as well. There is no information yet on when he will come because the update will come from the Australian board, his physio or the coach,” Munaf said at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday.“We won two games so it wasn’t felt,” Munaf said more lightly.“If we don’t do well, it depends. He is one of the best in the world. There is no bigger bowler in the IPL than Starc. Jasprit Bumrah is the only one I can think of. He has so much experience, he swings at 140 kmph with the new ball. I watch the team every day. Cricket Australia will update us. We need him as our main bowler,” Munaf said.Munaf said he enjoys working with bowlers like Lungi Ngidi, T Natarajan and Aquib Nabi. When asked about fast bowlers who bowl at speeds above 150 km/h and often get injured, Munaf answered lightly.“Guys who play at 150 don’t play. If they don’t play, they stay injured. We got out of the system that the more you play, the more rhythm you have. When you’re injured and not in rhythm, you automatically get injured,” he said.
