
At least five people, including a police officer, were killed after the shooter started fire inside the height office building on Monday evening in Midtown Manhattan and sent panic through one of the busiest commercial nodes in New York.
The incident occurred at 345 Park Avenue, Home for Main Companies such as NFL, Blackstone and KPMG, during the evening, when employees were preparing for the day to leave for the day, New York Post reported.

Witnesses described the moments of chaos and confused when the shots were heard over a 44-storey building.
“We have heard some shots in quick sequence from the ground floor,” said Jessica Chen, who participated in the second floor presentation, said ABC News. “Some people walked over the rear exit, while others, including me, threw themselves into the conference room. We barricaded the door tables and remained silent.”
Chen said there were about 150 people at that time. “I drew my parents to tell them that I love them. It’s the feeling that you can’t explain,” she added.

One visibly shaken man sat on the stairs of a nearby office building and described the suffering of a loved one on the phone. “I was at work in the hall … Someone came up with an offensive rifle and started shooting,” he said, gasping. The sensing images later revealed a shooter identified as 27 -year -old Shane Tamura from Las Vegas and calmly entered the building with an offensive weapon in his hand. He progressed to the 33.
The authorities confirmed that Tamura had died of a self -sticked gunshot. Several others were injured during the rampage.
The sudden eruption of violence forced the nearby office to lock.
“People ran and said someone was screaming about an active shooter on the street,” said Kathleen Benanti, who works nearby. “We were told to stay low and keep away from the windows.”
Benanti, who lived 9/11, said the scene had triggered around the trauma. “Sounds, fear – brought it all for a moment. Now I’m fine, but it was a lot.”
