For a 17 -year -old partner (the name changed), what began as an exciting first day in his father’s new accommodation, soon turned into a traumatic experience. As soon as Saraswati Nagar – a densely populated location, only two kilometers from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai, the Patel of International Airport – became a disgusting eyewitness of one of the worst Indian air disasters in recent history.
PART, a student who was excited to see the plane close to the class 12, pulled the phone to record his eyes and show him his friends back in his native village. But in seconds, his camera captured a terrifying moment when Air India Flight AI171, linked to London, dropped from the sky and crashed into a fiery explosion. This episode left him deeply shaken. “I can never enter the plane,” he said.
A teenager, a native of Shamlaji Taluk in the district of Gujarat’s Aravalli, arrived at Ahmedabad around noon June 12. His father, who left the army, recently began working as a guard with a metro Ahmedabad. Just a day earlier, June 11, he rented a room in a small building located between the airport and the accident site.
“I arrived at my father’s place around 12:30 and went up the terrace after I heard that the aircraft often walked around. I was curious, so I started shooting a video of one flying unusually low – it was the closest closest to me.
No detained: Police
The video he recorded quickly became viral and made Ahmedabad Crime branch branch off to record her statement on Saturday as a witness. Later, the police published a brief clarification after the initial reports indicated that the boy was detained. “He came up with his father to issue a statement as a witness. Then he was sent with his father. There were no arrest or detention,” the police said.
On Sunday morning, Kailashbhen Thakur, the owner of the house, told the annoying experience of the party. “He just arrived in the city for the first time. He witnessed something that no one should ever see,” she said. She added that the boy was deeply shaken by this experience and decided to return to his village to continue his studies.
