Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav took the light Jibe in Rohit Sharma and said he began to resemble his former captain after forgetting one of the two changes of the team before the Indian collision of the Asia Cup 2025 against Oman in Abu Dhabi. Suryakumar won the throwing and for the first time decided a bat for the first time in a continental tournament, but tried to remember team changes on live television.
Suryakumar confirmed that Pacer Harshit Rana first appeared tournaments after India made two changes. But when the moderator Ravi Shastri made him reveal the second change, the captain could not remember the second player who was developed into XI.
India vs Oman, Asia Cup Update
At one point Shastri even joked if he was a mysterious player Morne Morkel, a great South African, who now serves as an Indian bowling coach.
Suryakumar eventually laughed at his own delay and attracted parallels with Rohit Sharma. For the uninitiated, Rohit’s forgetfulness among his teammates is well documented – from leaving his iPad in the hotel rooms to the wrong placement of the passport, his absent moments became a running joke in the dressing room.
“We have two changes – Harshit comes and one more guy comes. The other guy doesn’t remember well. I became Rohit,” Suryakumar said with a smile.
Finally, the second change was the coming Arshadeep Singh. India rested Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy to bring back Arshdeep and rough to their XI.
India, which has already sealed its place in Super 4 after Pakistan’s pounding and overcome the UAE in their Group A matches, will seem to continue its dominant run.
