
A 27 -year -old ASIFNAGAR woman was cheated on a height of £ 2.48, who performed as foreign well -known and false courier agents in fraudulent fraud online.
The fraud developed after the victim received a WhatsApp report from a person who identified himself as “amanpreet UK France” and claimed to have sent her a land containing a diamond ring, gold, clothes, money and shoes. Shortly afterwards, the customs officials at Mumbai were confiscated.
Using this fake claim, the fraudster has asked for the female AADHAAR number and a residential address, with quoting requirements for verification. Her contact details were then handed over to another person acting as a “courier agent” who threatened her police and income taxes if she could not pay 16,000 GBP at couriers, customs and tax fees.
The victim, panicked by threats, transferred at approximately 2.48 ₹ Lakh in several transactions. The fraudsters reduced all contact soon after receiving the money. The victim realized she was Scammed, and filed a complaint. The investigation was attended by the wing of cyber crime of Hyderabad.
The police warned that no real customs or courier agency would ever demand money for WhatsApp or telephone calls, nor endanger legal steps to permit packages. Citizens were recommended not to share numbers, addresses or personal data with unknown people.
