Increased supervision, distribution of special forces in sensitive areas and monitoring of social media content remained the highest priorities during the meeting of the Police Commissioner Hyderabad before Hanuman Vijaya Yatra scheduled for April 12.
On video conference with head officers, the head of CV Anand Municipal Police examined the incidents reported during last year’s parade and assessed the proposed arrangements to ensure a peaceful and proper parade this time. The route – stretching from Sri Ram Mandir in Gowligud, the Bible House to the Tadbun Hanuman temple – will undergo an inspection of police officials who have been ordered to identify and solve any logistical or security concerns in coordination with the civil authorities.
Mr. Anand emphasized the importance of increased vigilance at the intersections, where smaller processions are connected to the main. Special forces will be deployed near religious places and the organizers were warned against using DJ systems, fireworks or color powders that could pose health or safety risks to people.
The police repeated that provocative banners and unauthorized use of drones are strictly prohibited. The organizers were instructed to limit the number of vehicles in the procession and prevent any disturbing participation from external groups. Participants were also advised to keep Yatra restrictions during the return foot.
It was necessary to try to reduce disinformation on social media, and the authorities warn that the spread of legends or provocative content could lead to legal consequences. Further efforts will also focus on discouraging small crimes, such as pick -up and sniping of the chain, with reserved teams distributed along the procession, the official said.
