Simple technical defect in E-Khata Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike had homeowners furious because hundreds received an exhibition announcement.
E-Khata is an electronic property certificate that maintains ownership information in the online database and was mandatory from 1 July 2025.

What is the problem?
According to The Times of India, homeowners in Bengalur have received notifications of demonstration so that it does not start the parking area of the car when it mentioned the size of the carpet of their property.

Homeowners of home Bengalur React

BBMP responds
BBMP manager defended the system and said employees do not enter anything manually. “Software captures irregularities. If people in their e-khats have entered incorrect details, how are we to blame?”
Clarified that the parking area of the car is never explicitly listed in the sales list in terms of size; Only a super -built area is. “Citizens ignored it all the time, but the parking space is also a property and the tax is due.”
Special Commissioner of BBMP (Income), Munish Wise, said to Tow that he intends to issue notifications only in the case of real estate, where the change was more than 5%. “For those below 5%we did not intend to send any warnings.”
