The judge of the High Court in Kerala Devan Ramacandran said human intelligence was stronger than artificial intelligence (AI).
On Saturday, August 16, he presented a lecture on “judiciary and media at AI”, he said that AI is only able to make repeated jobs and its capacity was limited. But the human brain was able to do more things at the same time. Mr. Ramacandran said that AI should be considered another tool that helps people.
At a time when the truth was just the other things the machines made, society faced dilemma about what to believe and not to believe, said. Mr. Ramacandran pointed out that AI had a huge impact on judiciary and media. A large number of unregulated groups produced unverified content on the Internet. There was a lot of information and people were unable to check that they were true. “What we perceive today as the truth can prove false … It is difficult to regulate social media,” he added. The event was organized by the Calicut Press Club and the Institute for Communication and Journalism Alumni Network.
