
Mumbai: Consumer goods Major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) announced the appointment of Niranjna Gupty on Thursday for the financial director and member of the HUL Administration Committee, effective September 1.
Gupta will be replaced by Ritesh Tiwari, currently Executive Director, Finance and CFO (CFO), who was appointed by the global boss M&A and Treasury on Unilever PLC, effective 1 November. Tiwari will be based in London.
Gupta joins the Hul 1 Council on November and reports Priya Nair, the CEO (CEO) and the CEO (MD) Hul.
The appointment comes in the middle of a number of changes in higher management at the manufacturer Soaps and Vim Bars. Last month, the company Priya Nair was appointed as CEO and MD, effective 1 August, after the departure of Rohit Jawa for some more than two years in the role.
According to the company, Gupt began her career with Hul and spent two decades in the lead roles before moving to Vedant Ltd, and later Hero Motocorp, where he was promoted as CEO in 2023.
Tiwari, who took the lead as Hul CFO in 2021, led initiatives for portfolio transformation, supervised key acquisitions and liquidation, and directed the Demerger ice cream industry to the walls of Kwality (India) LTD and prepared a way for his independent list.
Over the years, several Indian executives from Hul took over a prominent role in Unilever PLC. For example, Nitin Paranjpe held several leading positions
Manager of the management of Unilever (Ule), including the Chief Transformation Director and Chief Operational Director, and now serves as an inefficient Chairman of HUL. Leena Nair, another veteran Hul, was the Chief Director of Human Resources of Unilever and a member of Ule before becoming the Global CEO of Chanel.
Hul who reported a turnover £60 680 crore in FY25, year -on -year by 2% and tax profit £10,644 Crore (5% year -on -year) has seen several other changes to the management last year. In March she appointed Rajneet Kohli, former CEO of Britannia Industries, as Executive Director of Foods. In December 2024, Vivek Mittal took the lead as Executive Director, legal and corporate matters. Other recent changes in the management committee include VIPUL Mathur (Personal Care) and ARUn Neelakantan (Development Customers Development).
