HR&CE invites applications for appointment of non-hereditary trustees in 214 temples of Tamil Nadu

In a bid to ensure transparency in the appointment of non-hereditary trustees for the 214 temples under its control in Tamil Nadu, the Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) has issued a notification inviting applications. Temples include the Palani Dhandayuthapani Temple and the Samayapuram Mariamman Temple.

According to the notification, those interested in the seats should submit their applications along with the required documents by 5.45 pm on July 22, 2026. Eligibility criteria were published on the department’s website.

Applications along with necessary documents can be uploaded online. They can also be submitted in person or sent by express mail.
