
The COVID-19 vaccine certificate is a verification that proves whether you have successfully completed the vaccination course. Given the ongoing pandemic, the certificate is a ticket to leverage many essential services around the world and we have to carry it with us. However, the easiest way to access Covid-19 vaccine records is to save them on your smartphone. Apple has an update of 15.1, bringing a new feature that allows iPhone users to store and access digital copies of their COVID-19 vaccination and testing certificates in the Health app. This way, users can upload their vaccination status to the health app and will create a vaccination card in Apple Wallet.
COVID-19 vaccination and test results records work similar to paper documents with official seals. Verified health records are represented by Chectmark in the health app on iPhone, implying that no changes have been made since their initial creation.
How to add a vaccination card to your Apple wallet
If you receive a QR code from your healthcare provider, you can follow these steps to add COVID-19 vaccination details in the Health app.
Open the Camera app on your iPhone and scan the QR code.
After the iPhone recognizes the QR code, health application notifications will be displayed on the screen.
Click on Health App Notifications.
Click Add to wallet and health To save details of the Covid-19 vaccine to Apple Health and Apple Wallet.
Some healthcare providers also offer downloadable files. In this case, you can click on the download link and select Add to wallet and health Attach data to Apple Wallet and Apple Health.
If you have added COVID-19 records to the Apple Health app, you can still add them to the Apple Wallet. for this,
- Open the Health app.
- Tap Summary On the bottom left.
- Below Vaccination recordsclick Add to wallet.
If you don’t see the Add to Wallet option,
- Tap Browse And enter immunity.
- Click Immune record type.
- Select a verifiable vaccination record with a check mark and click Add to wallet.
It should be noted that before continuing to make sure your iPhone has been updated to iOS 15.1. Once added, users can access their Covid-19 vaccine details at any time. However, users are required to verify their identity with a face ID, touch ID, or password for full viewing. It will display your name, vaccine type, dose date, issuer and QR code. Data cannot be shared with other users.
