Royal Challengers Bengaluru produced a ruthless all-round performance to beat Delhi Capitals by nine wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Monday, April 27, in the IPL 2026. It was a match that went one way in the first few turns. The RCB bowlers completely dismantled the DC batting line-up.
Asked to bat first, Delhi Capitals never recovered from the nightmare. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood went through the top order with surgical precision and shared six wickets in the powerplay. DC slumped to an all-time low of 13 for 6 after six overs from which they could not recover.

Bhuvneshwar finished with three wickets while Hazlewood chipped in with four wickets as DC were eventually bowled out for just 75 in 16.3 overs. Abishek Porel’s thirty was the only notable resistance in an otherwise dismal Capitals batting.
Chasing a modest target, RCB managed the total. Virat Kohli anchored the innings with typical composure and led the chase to perfection. He forged a calm opening partnership with Devdutt Padikkal and ensured there were no hiccups despite the somewhat tricky surface.
With the target well within reach, Kohli shifted gears towards the end and ended the game in style with back-to-back sixes. Chasing 76 not out and with a massive 81 balls to spare, RCB recorded one of the most dominant victories in IPL history and handed Delhi Capitals a crushing defeat on their home soil.
