The first Indian Formula 1 driver and Padma Shri Narain Karthikeyan award explained how India can produce more F1 quality drivers. To date, only Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok remain the only two Indians to compete in F1. Since the Chandhok in 2011–12 in 2011–12, he has competed in the most elite category of motorsport.

However, he admitted that in India the cost of persecution of motoring sport remains out of reach for most people due to imports collected by the government.
“India is doing largely in sport like cricket because the infrastructure has been there for many years. But when I said he was catching up and other sports were given opportunities. India today’s southern conclave.
“I wish it was a little better, because there are many drivers trying to be professional. I think it is a matter of time before the corporate world and some kind of government incentives come. Our federation is actively trying to build this ecosystem,” he added.
What went wrong with the Indian scene of motor sports?
Karthikeyan dealt in detail with what went wrong on the motor sports scene in India, once hosted by the Indian Grand Prix between 2011 and 2013. The former competitor F1 said it may have been too early to take root in the country.
“You know, there was an Indian driver in me and there was an Indian team before. There was an Indian Grand Prix.
“I think it is only a matter of time before the ecosystem of motor sports returns to their feet. Now there are parents from generations who have seen documents, films F1, and now pushing their children into sports. So it gains a lot of momentum.
With the growing interest and efforts of the federation and the company sector, the future of motoring looks promising, which potentially prepares the way for more Indian drivers to compete at the highest level.
