During the meeting, the Commissioner expressed serious concern about the continuing practice of mixing bio-chest waste with urban solid waste, which represents a significant threat to hygienic workers, public health and the environment.
He called on all medical facilities to strictly follow the BMW rules and to ensure scientific segregation, storage and disposal of bio-chest waste. The Commissioner set a 1 September for complete compliance with the company.
He also explained that the inability to observe these standards by the date on the date attracts strict fines under the provisions of the Act. The MCC is determined to ensure that Mysuro remains a clean and safe city and invites all parties to cooperate in achieving this goal.
