In his Friday (April 10, 2026) sermon at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Kashmir’s chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said a meaningful and civilized way to resolve the current conflict “lies in serious engagement and dialogue”.
“The most meaningful and civilized way forward lies in serious engagement and dialogue based on justice and redress of genuine concerns among all parties,” Mirwaiz said.
