With the singers Karan Aujla and the latest songs Honey Singh, the “millionaire” and “MF Gabra” caused outrage over the alleged use of inappropriate language against women.
Both singers landed in the controversy after their latest songs released.
Raj Lali Gill, chairwoman of the State Commission of the Panjab State Commission, said the Commission had reviewed complaints and public reactions concerning certain texts and visuals in the latest editions of Honey Singh and Karan Aujla.
Gill said the texts in recent editions Ajul and Honey Singh were reportedly found as derogatory to women.
What did the female commission said
The Commission also ordered the CEO of the Police (DGP), Punjab, to investigate this matter and present a report.
“The songs that were used in this were not dominated by the tongue, nor was it thinking. When we go to the stage, we tell everyone that the biggest role in my life is that it is my mother. We respect it a lot. At the same time, you abuse it.
“Everyone listened to the song and protested, but still gaining millions of opinions. It’s not just responsibility for noticing it; listeners and society must also reject such a language … in songs, the singer does not control or follow the respecting mothers … They do it to make money.
When she talked about the event, Gill said she had asked DGP and other officials concerned to summon singers. She also asked them to apologize.
“The event is that I sent it to Boi (Bureau of Investigation) and DGP, and they (Aujla and Honey Singh) should be summoned. And even if I know they’re not in the country at the moment, but I should contact them, and get them more steps.” Gill.
