
The IPL 2025 match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Knight Knight (KKR) riders were delayed due to the persistent rain in Bengalur, pushing back and the beginning of the game. A group of white pigeons was seen in the middle of the rain delay, flying over the stands and many fans saw the birds’ view against the gray sky as a symbolic tribute to the legendary Virt Kohli career in white.
Kohli announced his retirement from the test cricket at the beginning of this week through a contribution to his social media. The decision came as a surprise because it was expected that it would be part of the upcoming Indian test tour of England and even appeared in the trophy of Ranji for Delhi.

Meanwhile, RCB fans have changed Chinnaswamy to the sea of white by wearing the iconic test jersey of Kohli No. 18 India. What started as an online fans’ campaign has quickly evolved into a powerful collective gesture on the day of the match.
RCB supporters exchanged their traditional red for white test jerseys, Symbolizing Kohli’s famous 14 -year -old career of red ball. Sellers near the venue reported a brisk sale of white jersey – an unusual view of T20 accessories – while social media was flooded with images of fans in white, emphasizing the emotional weight of the moment.
The campaign was not officially approved by the RCB franchise, but it was not unnoticed. The director of RCB, Mo Bobabat, spoke at a press conference before the match, said, “It’s not something we talked about in the dressing room. But I certainly noticed that the fans were talking about. I don’t think it will have players, but it’s a nice touch.”
