
On June 14 and June 15 at the Irinjalakuda Town Hall, a two -day honor “Drishyamohanam 2025” will be held in memory of the first anniversary of the death of filmmaker M. Mohan, who brought new aesthetic sensitivity to Malayalam cinema, said Minister for Higher Education R. Bind.
The event, organized under the common auspices of Irinjalakuda Pauravali and Mohan Foundation, celebrates the creative heritage of Mohan, a native of Irinjalakuda whose films have received national and international recognition.
The program will start on 14 June by screening Mohan’s popular film Vida Parayum Munpe, followed by a presentation of a short film from the short -term film Drishyamohanam.
A special session entitled “Mohana Smity” will combine important artists and admirers from the Malaysálam film industry with which he worked or inspired by Mohan, shares memories and insight into his contributions.
The Cultural Conference at 17:30 on the same day will be opened by Mrs. Binda, while the chairwoman of the city chairwoman Irinjalakuda Marykutta Joy. The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the first Mohan Film Award Lijo Jose Pellissery.
The night will continue with a dance tribute based on Mohan’s film songs, the choreography Satyanjali Kochi, next to the performances Vineeth Kumar (Kozhikode), Shithi Jayan and Siraj Pallissery.
On June 15, the festival will be renewed at 10 am with a curatorial screening and a dance festival followed by Nrithanjali, another art presentation of Satyanjali Kochi.
