The district administration in Chikkamagalur announced on Tuesday in Seven Taluks due to heavy rains holidays for Angwadis, elementary schools and secondary schools.
The holidays applies to schools in Koppa, Kalase, Mudigere, Sringeeri, NR Pura Taluks and Kasaba, Ambale, Avathi, Jagara, Hard, Aldur, Khandya Hoblasts of Chikkamagaluru Taluk Lingadahalli of Tarikere Taluk.
Representative of the Chikkamagalur Commissioner Meena Nagaraj ordered schools to compensate for the loss of class class by organizing special classes during the holidays.
The Hassan representative CommsSioner KS Lathakumari announced a holiday for Anganwadis, elementary schools and secondary schools in Sakleshpur and Arkalgud Taluks; Palya and K. Hoskote Hoblis in Alur Taluk; Bikkod and Arehalli Hoblis from Belur Taluk on Tuesday.
Schools in both districts were instructed to organize other classes on the holidays to compensate for the loss of class hours.
