The district collector R. Sukumar declared local holidays for schools and government authorities 11 April (Friday) with regard to Panguni Uththiram.
The official statement stated that the local holiday will apply to schools, universities and government authorities without affecting the schedule of the public examination. The holidays will not apply to those students who participate in public exams and teachers on invigilation duties on that day. The District Treasury and Sub-Postojky will work with skeletal force.
24th April will be a working day to compensate for this local holiday, said the collector.
