A promising national level athlete and hockey player, 23-year-old Julie Yadav lost her life in a road accident in Lucknow on Sunday morning. Julie, who worked as a sports teacher at LPS School in LDA Colony, was preparing to oversee the inter-school badminton championship when the fatal collision took place.
The accident took place near Mauda Mod in Para Police Station area. Julie came to school early but soon realized she had left her cell phone at home. Principal Rakesh Singh said she is responsible for coordinating Sunday’s badminton event involving eight LPS branches and has shown exceptional commitment to the role. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
