Hockey India on Monday, May 19, announced that the registration of the Player for Hero Hockey India League 2026 is now open. The deadline for the registration of the players will be 20 August and the deadline was set at 17:00.
Last season, more than 1,000 players for the release of men’s and female editions of hockey India League have registered after returning from seven years. Men’s Edition won Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers while The Women’s Crown has been raised by Odisha Warriers. In the 2024-25 edition, eight teams on the men’s side saw things, while four teams for the second women’s title.
Registration for the upcoming season is open to all eligible Indian and international players, with invitations to spread to stars from the world’s leading hockey nations. Dilip Tirkey said Hil was for Indian hockey, president and chairman of the Indian President’s hockey and the Prime Minister of the Government Committee for the Indian League. Tirkey said that the upcoming edition will further increase the standard of hockey in India.
“Hero Hockey India League was a game changer for Indian hockey and we are excited to continue our 2026 season. The reaction of players and fans last season was phenomenal and we are sure that the upcoming edition will further increase hockey level in India.
