Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Severage Board (HMWSSB) recommended all its users to click on unauthorized water connections, waiting for payments and alerts.
The Board said it has found that users receive messages from unidentified mobile numbers who claim to be an official sender and advise them to pay fees by 21:30, which failed to reduce their water connection. Such messages will be directed by the recipient to contact the next number for help. When contact, users send the APK file via WhatsApp.
“These are unauthorized and misleading messages. Hmws and SB no such messages. All official communications from HMWS & SB are issued only through the enabled channels. For any clarification or questions related to the services, citizens are asked to contact official HmWSSB Helpline 155313,” she explained.
