
Given the ongoing heavy rainfall in the city, HMWS & SB officials turned into action to ensure public comfort and safety.
The head of the K. Ashok Reddy Water Board organized an appointment with all officials and ordered them to take all possible preventive measures and maintain teams to emergency situations (ERTS) to high readiness around hours.
As part of this, the Board of Directors will perform special hygiene and drainage units from 6:00 to 9:00 for the next two days, with the aim of solving the problems with the tap and problems related to wastewater.
Officials were also instructed to check the flood water removal operations and monitor the machines for sewer blasting, especially in areas with low lying and floods.
Complaints about the overflow of sewerage on the spraction with a special focus on deep spills and the body of the living colonies will be considered a high priority.
The meeting also asked general managers to check the affected areas and initiate immediate corrective measures.
Mr. Reddy, emphasized public health, also instructed to test the quality of drinking water, especially during the offer. Preventive steps should be taken to prevent contamination, slums and low -laid sites marked for special attention.
Executive director Mayank Mittal emphasized the importance of workers’ safety and said that the field staff must strictly wear helmets, gloves and shoes. It has also been proposed that chlorine tablets are distributed in the zones affected by floods in coordination with quality control officials and medical officials.
For effective implementation, Mr. Reddy emphasized the coordination of the Board of Directors with GHMC and the police department. He strongly advised the inhabitants not to open the coverage of the seizure under any circumstances.
