
On Sunday, the ODISha government reportedly imposed a temporary suspension of Internet and social media after reports on tension and violent incidents between two groups.
In the official announcement issued by the other main secretary of Satyabrat Sah, he said that the decision was taken to prevent the spread of false, provocative and inflammatory messages on platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Instagram and Snapchat, which could disrupt public peace and order.

Other police forces were deployed across the sensitive areas in the cuttack, forbidden to prevent further escalation.
