Directorate for enforcement of law (ED) on Friday 28th March attacked a couple on the basis of accusations that in their residence they shot pornographic videos with models. According to reports, the couple also added these videos to the Cyprus company “Technius Limited” known for hosting international pornographic sites.
The models were “hired” through a couple through social media platforms. The probe agency seized £8 Lakh in cash during their raids. The company is “controlled” by a couple.
Reportedly, they run a “sophisticated” studio for streaming webcam for adults from their residence, and these videos were shared with a Cypriot company called Technius Limited.
Technius Limited is an “operator” of adult entertainment websites such as Xhamster and Stripchat, Ed said.
“Foreign remittance has been regularly accepted by the Subdigi and its directors under the Rouche of Services such as advertising, market research and public opinion survey. However, these funds were reportedly the yield of adult content to Xhamster,” Ed said.
According to ED sources, this violated Fema because the funds were accepted as a payment for adult services, which is illegal.
Ed revealed illegal transfers total £15.66 crore in the company’s bank accounts and its directors. In addition, an unpublished bank account in the Netherlands was identified where the technius of Limis allegedly transferred approximately £7 crore.
It was found that credits on a foreign bank account were withdrawn in India in cash using international debit cards.
The couple “kept” about 75 percent of earnings and handed over “only a fraction” to the models, the agency said.
Ed sources said PTI that officials in the search team recorded a statement to some models because they were found in the couple’s residence during raids.
