
Jagruti Hind’s members urged the district authorities to rename Islamabad Colony in Kalaburagagi because it resembles the “capital” of Pakistan.
The President of the Sen Laxmicant Swadi, who addressed a press conference in Kalaburagag on Sunday, said that Islamabad Colony should be named after the Indian, which contributed significantly to the nation.
The Sene Members Also Suggested and Few Names to Be Considered for Renaming the Colony, Including the 14th Century Saint Saint Hazrat Khwaja Bande, Param Chakra Award Winner Abdul Hamid, Brigadier Mohammad USMAAN Abdul Kalam, Shehnai Maestro bismillah khan and tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain.
Members of the SEN will be a protest in the city and will submit a memorandum of the Commissioner of Kalaburagag City Corporation on Tuesday and demand the renaming of the colony immediately. They warned that name plates with an existing name would be blurred in black if the authorities immediately rename the colony.
