The American creator of content living in India has become a viral for its impressive command of Hindi and the Internet cannot be enough.
Kristen Fischer, who spent the last four years in India, has recently published a video on Instagram, which abolishes attention not only for its smoothness, but also for its practical tips on how others can also learn language.
In a clip that has already exceeded 78,000 views, Fischer speaks fluently Hindi and wrote in the headline: “Hindi is not an easy language to learn. It takes time and effort.” He then shares four key strategies that have helped her over the years.
It emphasizes grammar as the most demanding and important part of language learning. “Find a good grammatical coach, book or source. It’s a difference,” he says.
Fischer attributes her success to the online class and GPA method (growing participant) and calls it “the fastest and most effective way to learn any language”. Another tip? Complete immersion. “Spending time with a native speaker who doesn’t know English. In this way, you will be forced to speak Hindsky in real situations,” he advises.
While now he speaks a language with ease, Fischer reminds students that it is a slow process. “Hindi lasts at least 2-3 years to comfort with him. I studied five years before I felt confident. Just continue and not give up.”
The video hit a chord with many viewers, while social media users praised her determination and encouraged others to follow her leadership.
The user wrote: “Mr. Kriste, your Hindi is amazing! Great.”
Another user asked, “I am amazed by your fluency and dictionary. Fab. What is the GPA method?”
“In a world that is too often divided by differences, your Hindi hugs are truly admirable. It is a powerful gesture that exceeds the boundaries and connects the heart. We wish you to continue success and discover on this beautiful language journey,” wrote the third user on Instagram.
