Hyderabad Metropolitan water supply and sewerage board announced on Monday that it will operate three Himayatsagar gates to a height of three feet at 8 pm, taking into account the fast accumulation flood.
Reservoir for full capacity of 2,970 TMCFT according to values at 18:00 kept water 2.687 TMCft. It was the receiving flood of 2000 CUSEC and was kept by a drain of 2,400 CUSECS. On Monday at 6 am, only one gate was opened by one leg. But until 8:00, the Council witnessed another flood tributary to control another gate to leave 1,400 cusec to the downstream.
The tide was constantly increasing to 2000 CUSEC by 10:00 and the Council operated three gates, one for one for three feet in three feet to leave 2,400 cusecs. The 2000 CUSEC flood continued throughout the day. While the drain of 1,400 CUSEC was maintained at 8 am, it increased to 2,400 cusecs for the rest of the day.
At 20 o’clock, according to the last available state on Himayatsagar, the board of directors released 3000 CUSECS into the downstream. At 9 pm the fourth gate of the tank was raised to a height of three feet. While the tide of 3000 CUSEC was recorded, the officials kept the drain of 3960 CUSEC.
Meanwhile, in Osmansagar during the day, the tank filled the tank to a level of 1783.85 feet compared to the full level of the tank of 1,790 feet or 3.900 TMCFT.
