
The Indian Astronomical Observatory in the Hanle in the Ladakh of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) has recently captured the C/2025 N1 comet (Atlas), which is only the third inter -stars of the solar system.
The comet, also known as the 3i/Atlas, was first seen by the Atlas in Chile and quickly moved at a relative speed of 61 kilometers per second 1 July.
IIA stated that this object has attracted the attention of astronomers around the world and to support the interest and awareness of this heavenly visitor among students and the general public in India, the Indian astronomical observatory in Hanle observed a comet using the Himalayan Chando telescope (HCT) on July 3.
“Our website (now has video and cuts of time images of Comet using this data, along with other details for education and field terrain,” she said on Thursday IIA.
The comet discovered international telescopes, IIA said.
