Technopark on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HiLITE Group for setting up their first IT park project in Thiruvananthapuram at the Technopark Phase 3 campus here.
The ‘Yoo Hub Trivandrum’ project envisages an IT park of 5.15,000 m2 spread over 18 floors on 1.88 acres of land.
Sandip Kumar, CEO, Technopark, and Ajil Muhammed, CEO, HiLITE Group exchanged the MoU in the presence of Seeram Samabasiva Rao, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics and IT and Officer on Special Duties to the Chief Minister.
Industries Minister P. Rajeeve said the project is expected to generate around 4,000 direct IT jobs, which will significantly contribute to Kerala’s growing technology ecosystem and support long-term industrial development. He said the launch of the project signals that the state government’s efforts to provide employment opportunities to the youth in Kerala itself are in the right direction.
Construction of the building, which will have a basement plus ground floor and 16 floors, will begin soon. The project is expected to be completed in three years.
The proposed IT Park is being developed in collaboration with YOO, a design brand known for its global portfolio of luxury properties and design-led developments. This is YOO’s first global collaboration with the IT Park brand.
